MFiber is backed by sound research

If you think about it, humans and pets have been eating wheat, rice, corn and other mainstream crops for thousands of years. Since they have been intrinsic to our food supply long before we were alive, we must accept that now they may be genetically modified or chemically altered and therefore give us allergies or compromise our health to some degree.  For most of us this is not a life or death issue, but for some of us our quality of life may be reduced because of elements within an agricultural crop.

In bringing Miscanthus fiber to the pet food industry, MFiber has invested substantial time and money in research at Kansas State University and with numerous other industry professionals.  This is to ensure that all the health aspects as well as the fundamental dollar value of our product is superior for all of our customers. Creating higher quality food products for less money is our mission at MFiber and we know that our fiber ingredient is an example of this concept.

Also, research can aid in understanding the environmental sustainability of a plant or crop.  I have to cut down a tree to create traditional cellulose fiber powder. Sugar beet pulp is genetically modified and the pulp is a byproduct of a crop that requires planting every year. Is this a future that is wholesome and sustainable for us and our children?  At the present, it seems unlikely that we can build a world that is healthy, sustainable and far less costly. Nevertheless, hard work, good science and time will prove that we can build a world that accomplishes all of these objectives.

Around 1890, a head of the United States Patent Office stated that he thought all the good ideas had already been discovered and the world of science had matured.  Of course, soon after came the telephone, car, antibiotics and a myriad of great inventions and discoveries which have transformed the world and our quality of life in the 20th and 21st centuries.

Having great optimism for the future is not blind as it is proven by the past 125 years in the United States. We at MFiber intend to do our part to deliver better products to our customers and continue the promise of a high-quality, sustainable world.
